LUXSCAN Scanner systems – we capture everything at a glance In modern woodworking industries highly automated system solutions are used in the rough mill area and the demand for high capacity and automation is rising. An upstream scanner is an integral component of the system solution. The scanner scans the wood all over at lightning speed for the relevant data (knots etc.) and supplies the following process machines e.g. ProfiRip, OptiCut etc. with the optimizing solution at full production speed. Without such automatic detection systems, the cutting rates achieved by the overall lines would be unthinkable. The control technology also has to meet the highest standards. The R&D departments of the WEINIG GROUP provide solutions for high-automation systems. We guarantee a reliable production process – for both hard and soft wood applications. LUXSCAN offers the right configuration for each application. Starting at the colour sorting application e. g. after the crosscutting process with Match-Scan. The Rip-Scanner offers the possibility to classify the surface of the clean raw board with the most advanced sensor technology to produce an optimized ripping solution for the subsequent ProfiRip saw. Combi-Scan is the allrounder for the crosscutting process, as a wide range of different sensor technologies can be combined to achieve exactly the demanded recognition and classification of superficial structures and colourations on clean surfaces. With X-Scan also internal density differences can be detected reliably. The X-ray technology is also being applied if the optical recognition is insufficient e.g. due to dirty environment or special structures in the material. LUXSCAN scanner technology therefore offers a wide portfolio of products to satisfy individual requirements reliably. WEINIG GROUP therefore is an one-source-supplier to offer the complete solution from the raw board to the final product in a fully automated process.
