CombiScan+ an all-rounder with all-round technology for fully automated wood optimization according to wood characteristics

The CombiScan+ is based on the tried and tested CombiScan model and is a four sided scanner for detecting various characteristics in wood such as wane, knots, cracks, pith, resin pockets, blue and red stain and other important defects. It is fitted with Multi-scan technology, laser profile measurement, dimension measurement and is network compatible. With the new, compact construction it has been possible to simply further the operation of the scanner without sacrificing anything in the area of maintenance simplicity. In addition it means the xray module can be integrated at any time as a cost effective option. Together with the newly touch screen technology, available for the first time, the operation has become even more user friendly. Software, which has been newly developed and based on the design of the DimterLine, allows for all adjustments to be carried out simply and intuitively. In order to better fulfill customer requirements the CombiScan+ will be offered in the different variations. The C variation is for applications together with cross-cut lines, the R version for use in ripping applications and the S version is for sorting applications. In the C version the scanner is compatible with all OptiCut through feed saws. Together with the intelligent feeding system VarioSpeed it can be connected in line with the opticut or together with a cross buffer. It is capable of feeding up to four saws. A module for processing random width is also available for the scanner. The R version can be combined with two saws from the ProfiRip series. Several other sorting applications can be handled by the S version. The application of a CombiScan+ allows for reductions in personnel costs, consistently high quality, increased productivity and higher flexibility as the sorting criteria can be quickly and simply changed.
