Naturally it is equipped with the unique Vario-Speed in-feed system (patented), which enables the machine to cut without interruption. It also has an intelligently controlled waste gate (patented) which only opens as far as needed. HighGrip rollers specially designed for different types of wood ensure effective power transmission to the workpiece and precise positioning.

The positioning function is supported by the non drive-dependent length measuring system which achieves an accuracy of up to +/- 0,8mm in length. As the workpieces are all measured in their complete length before the first cut is made, the OptiCut 450 Quantum will always fully optimize the timber to achieve the maximum possible value and yield. The special saw unit can be precisely controlled, thus minimising tear-out, for example.
