Management board

Gregor Baumbusch
CEO

With effect from 1 January 2015, Gregor Baumbusch has assumed responsibility as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) in the areas of sales and marketing on the management board at WEINIG AG as CEO since 1 January 2019. Most recently, the graduate mechanical engineer worked as Sales Director and member of senior management at a world-leading supplier of precision tools. With the experienced salesman WEINIG wishes to further expand its leading position worldwide.

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Georg Hanrath has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) as of February 1, 2022. After completing his studies and doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) at RWTH Aachen University, he held various positions in a global corporation in Germany and the USA. During this time, he attended in-service Master studies in general management. He then spent many years in various senior and group management positions at international mechanical engineering companies in the metal and woodworking sectors. His experience in design, assembly, production, supply chain and operations management means that WEINIG is ideally positioned in the sector of technology.


Dr. Thomas Bach
Chairman of the Supervisory Board, President of the IOC

Performance athlete, sports official, solicitor, executive - the CV, which includes a doctorate in law and political science, fills four pages. The successful fencer and Olympic champion has held roles including Director for International Relations at Adidas, member of the advisory committee to the Federal Ministry of Economics and consultant for Siemens AG. Since 1998, he has been at the helm of the Supervisory Board at Michael Weinig AG. In addition – following numerous leading roles in the world of sport – he has been IOC President since 2013. In short: Dr. Thomas Bach combines excellent foreign language skills with a wealth of experience that could not be more valuable to the company.
