Change at the helm of the Product Unit Cutting

Michael Holtmann, Chairman of the Management Board of Weinig Dimter GmbH & Co. KG, Raimann Holzoptimierung GmbH & Co. KG, Luxscan Technologies S.a.r.l. and Director of the Weinig Product Unit Cutting has taken the decision to leave the Weinig Group of his own volition on 31.05.2015 in order to seek a new career challenge. He can look back on 7 successful years guiding Weinig Dimter GmbH & Co. KG.

Dr.-Ing. Johannes Mario Kordt will succeed Mr. Holtmann. He will jointly manage the company during a two-month handover phase until the departure of Mr. Holtmann. At the same time, Dr. Kordt will also take over management of the Product Unit Cutting within the group, taking the helm of Weinig companies Raimann Holzoptimierung in Freiburg and Luxscan in Luxembourg as part of this role.

The 42-year-old Dr. Kordt has worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and director of technology management in tool technology with a major corporate group after graduating in mechanical engineering. His most recent role was managing director of a manufacturer of turnkey production solutions in sophisticated automation technology and a production specialist for complex formed parts and tools. He has outstanding technical expertise and experience in mechanical engineering.

WEINIG CEO Wolfgang Pöschl is convinced that Dr. Kordt is the ideal successor to lead Weinig Dimter GmbH & Co. KG. and wishes him every success in his new role. He also thanked Michael Holtmann for his commitment and years of trusting collaboration and wished him all the best for the future.
