Management board

Gregor Baumbusch
CEO

With effect from 1 January 2015, Gregor Baumbusch has assumed responsibility as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) in the areas of sales and marketing on the management board at WEINIG AG as CEO since 1 January 2019. Most recently, the graduate mechanical engineer worked as Sales Director and member of senior management at a world-leading supplier of precision tools. With the experienced salesman WEINIG wishes to further expand its leading position worldwide.


Michael Amann
Chief Financial Officer

Since June 2025, Mr Michael Amann has been a member of the Weinig Group’s Executive Board, responsible for finance and administration. Since July 2026, he has also been in charge of strategic procurement and operations in Asia.

A graduate in Business Administration (FH), he has held positions at various international companies, most recently as Managing Director at the global market leader in vehicle lifting platforms and testing technology.

With Mr Amann, an internationally experienced manager and finance specialist, the Executive Board is well positioned for the future to successfully continue the Group’s development.


Dr. Thomas Bach
Chairman of the Supervisory Board, President of the IOC

Performance athlete, sports official, solicitor, executive - the CV, which includes a doctorate in law and political science, fills four pages. The successful fencer and Olympic champion has held roles including Director for International Relations at Adidas, member of the advisory committee to the Federal Ministry of Economics and consultant for Siemens AG. Since 1998, he has been at the helm of the Supervisory Board at Michael Weinig AG. In addition – following numerous leading roles in the world of sport – he has been IOC President since 2013. In short: Dr. Thomas Bach combines excellent foreign language skills with a wealth of experience that could not be more valuable to the company.
